Who has to report packaging quantities to LUCID?
Companies that first place packaging subject to system participation on the German market must register with LUCID and report quantities to LUCID and their dual system.
Does Verpack Meldung replace a dual-system contract?
No. Verpack Meldung prepares, checks, and documents reporting data. Packaging licensing still takes place through a dual system.
Does Verpack Meldung submit the report to LUCID automatically?
No. Verpack Meldung prepares an XML file that you upload to the LUCID portal yourself.
Do I have to enter products and packaging again every time?
No. Products and packaging data remain saved. For a new period, you generally only add new quantities and check the report.
Can I use existing Excel or ERP exports?
Yes. Supported CSV and Excel files can import products, packaging, and quantities. A direct ERP integration is not required.
Can I correct or revise a prepared report?
Yes. Before locking, you can edit the report data and run the checks again. After locking, corrections are kept as a separate version so the original record remains traceable. Verpack Meldung does not submit changes to LUCID automatically.
